Ok let me clarify never official overheated hit two notches over half way so I shut it down. Then did rad and still the same so did timing belt job cause it was doing it again. So got timing kit from blauparts and had it installed and now like I said it will heat up normally. What if the temp of the thermo they gave me was to low a temp causing the car to cool to early?

What you are describing is the thermostat....even if the temp was wrong on the Thermostat, it would still work, just take longer/shorter time to open...and it wouldn't cool down like yours does...the temp would actually stay in the middle...basically, your thermostat is staying/stuck open so the coolant is going round and round (RATT) in the engine and being cooled rapidly by the cold air....I did, however, have this issue once and it wasn't the thermostat, I believe it was when I had air in the system...but don't really remember....

Don't think it's an air bubble. Air bubbles tend to be a blockage of sorts, and that would mean you'd run hot. Unless the air bubble is right against the stat, and those V6's tend to work out their own bubbles. Give it a little time, but if I had to guess, I'd say you got a bad stat.

Since you provided the parts, you're on thin ice trying to get them to back you up.

You should do your best to refer others to this shop if he is willing to replace the thermostat you supplied at no charge.
