Default 97 1.8t Auto Oil Pan Nut Removal Help Needed

As the title implies, I need help removing a single nut on my oil pan. The Low Oil Pressure light came on constantly on the way home a couple days ago. Read online it's possibly a sludge issue on the oil pump pick up tube, so I bought a new tube and gasket and started the removal process. So far it's been ok in the beginning, and royal PITA right now cause of a single nut at back of the oil pan, driver's side. I cant fit a socket in there, there is no room. I tried fitting my 16mm wrench in there and it grabs on nicely, but will not turn without hitting the black metal bar. Im guessing the subframe. Anyone have a tip or know a way I can get that last nut out? After that I think I can get the oil pan out.

A quick look at a manual says you need to support the engine from above and then remove bolts from the subframe and loosen bolts from the transmission mounts. Download the Bentley manual from the sticky and it will give you instructions on what you need to do.
