I had a coolant leak coming from the plug on the coolant flange so I replaced that and got new o-rings. Did I damage a spark plug or coil by leaning on them during the install? For the Brake Light Switch, does this Implausible Signal mean a replacement? And the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, I just replaced both rear brake rotors a week ago. 2 days ago, the passenger side was smoking while I was driving because of a poorly seated wheel bearing. Caliper was jammed to the rotor and smoking hot lol Took it apart and seated them myself... After re-installing everything, it flashed this code. Im stuck, I need some help please. Im new to Audi's, only had it for 3 weeks Only just now did I find the radiator drain plug lol

I had this code (00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Rear Right (G44) ) about 3 weeks ago with a solid ABS light, after i replaced all 4 rotors and brake pads.

Turns out it the tip of the sensor was covered in dirt, just cleaned it with a steel brush, cleared the code with my vag-com and the ABS light never came back on,problem solved.

You either have the same issue as i did or you damaged the sensor and need it replace it with a new one.

Swap #4 cylinder coil with another cylinder , erase fault codes & see what comes back.
Looks like you will need a brake light switch also.

Agreed on M5S5's assessment, and to what Morpheous said, it's either that or the seized caliper cooked the sensor and ruined it.

Cleaned the sensor with a wire bush and sprayed connector cleaner, now instead of coming from 7MPH and up, its on when I start the car, goes off, then comes on again. Hm...lol I think I see a new sensor in my future

I was thinking that too. Will give it a try.

Got out of church, went to start the car to go home. No more misfire... Hm... Pleased nonetheless.

Still got a Brake Light Switch and ABS speed sensor to go... And a freshly recharged AC system that isn't blowing cold air because the AC Clutch isnt engaging. And a passenger side window that doesnt go up or down. After that its some minor body work and Ill be bringing my SataJet out of retirement to give this A4 a new, fresh paintjob

Definitely I love working on cars in general, though my gift seems to be making them look pretty through layers of colored and clear solvents

Default Brake Light Switch

For the brake light switch issue, see the following link under Special Notes: 00526 - Ross-Tech Wiki My understanding is that basically if you step on the brake before running VAG-COM, you won't get this code unless there really is something wrong with the switch. I read that on a blog/posting somewhere. It has been true for my car. Hope all went well with the impending due date!
