Default 99 A4 burning oil?

Ok so I saw a 99 A4 with a ton of mods that i wanted to buy. So i called the guy on it and he said he was the second owner n the mechanic that had it before him upgraded the turbo to i cant remember what. He told me that the car burned a little oil because of the turbo and all turbo cars do that n what not. I could be wrong but it seemed a little wierd to me. Any one ever hear of this before?

working properly, it should burn minimal oil... find out exactly what turbo is on it, how many miles are on said turbo and most importantly, how much oil is burning... turbo could be going bad, could have a bad head gasket or a number or gaskets... could be a simple leak...

need more info on mods and the car as well

get proof, receipts and ALL documentation... 45,000 or 4,500?

if he did it for ***** out performance 45k ago, it is very risky IMHO...

Could just be the valve cover gasket. I thought my car was having major problems since after 3K miles, I only had a quart of oil left and also the spark plugs were super fouled (even though they were changed the same time of the last oil change). After I changed the valve cover gasket and applied the RTV silicone to the weak spots, after 2,800 miles, I have a little over 4 quarts of the original 4.7 quarts I put in. Cheap and easy fix.
