I bought the car with one key/remote but its not programmed...I've read that you need atleast two....

is there away to get this done without another key?

Unless you can get that key cut onto new bladekey somewhere.

 

does the key start the engine fine ( as in the immobiliser accepts the key) then just stick the key into the car turn to lights on deash then off, try buttons, worked for me when i changed the battery.

but if you need a NEW key then its the dealers unless you hace the code for the immobiliser then you can use VAGCOM. this code comes on a plastic tag that came with the keys when 1st bought.
