I have just fitted a used 5spd box to my 1998 1.9 tdi a4. When i received the box it had a broken metal slave cylinder with it. I purchased a new plastic slave cylinder that fitted fine and worked fine for about an hour ( 2 trips around the block to test the clutch/box etc,. ) Then it broke! It looks like the area around the locating hole has fractured allowing the cylinder to burst and come adrift!
Has anyone else had this problem or have i fitted the wrong unit?
