get someone with a laptop ad pick up a VAGCOm lead from ebay about $10 or so. Hook it up and get the codes, once thats done we'll know right away what is wrong. Were only guessing but to save a lot of hassle and money get it scanned. even get a lend of a laptop, you'll only need it for 10mins or so.
Once we know whats up we'll be able to hep you better but it really does sound like an ABS Control Module as mine started like that and then its started coming on all the time, got a Used control module for $50 and put it i my self. job done - ABS light out

you have it mate. fix the fault or live with it - its not like the Ecu which stores codes its more real time so the fault can be seen via VAG but it must be repaired to clear the system
