Default Ac problems

So its 106 here almost everyday i recently recharged my ac after i dumped it during a t-belt job, so when im at a red light the compressor kicks and makes the car feel kind of like its missfiring and at some points it stops blowing cold air completely

so what other than changing out my compressor can i do to fix this?

Hey Expplucky, you may want to check if your low and high pressures are correct. I overcharged mine one summer and my compressor would kick on constantly and would bog my car down. I got the pressures in the correct range and it fixed it for me. I fixed it by pushing a screwdriver on each of the valves and let some out. I know it's not the right way, but hey, sometimes you gotta improvise

Another thing you might check out is you may have a weak coilpack that may be exacerbated by the added power needed to run the A/C. Not sure but someone around here with more knowledge than me will probably chime in.

I believe the low pressure needs to be between 25-40 PSI and the high pressure between 225-250 PSI.
