Thanks, but no such luck for me. Upon doing some serious searches. It could also be the plugs in the steering column since my wife f*$cked with it by installing the S4 steering wheel. WHY? I have no clue. She did all the mods to her car herself...

You may not see the looseness in the connector - it only has to strain a tiny bit to open enough to trip the light. Use VagCom, scan the code, and see which bag it is. If it's a seat bag, zip-tie the connector TIGHT without damaging wires, and then turn off the light and see if it stays off.

By the way, so long as we are on this topic, WHICH VagCom should I buy? Can you point me to a link?

You don't have to buy it - it's free on the web. Go to www.ross-tech.com and download from there. You'll have to buy the interface cable - it's available on eBay for about $20. That's all you need - get those two items and you're in business.

Many thanks for sending me to the correct site. Now I remember the issue I had before. Sorry... I don't mean to be dense... So I go into ebay and buy what cable? And then the ross tech site has 11 things for me to download. How do I know what I'm supposed to buy? Many thanks in advance again...

Check with AF member Hiwords as to which version to get - he's more up on it than I am. As for the cable, if you search eBay for something along the lines of "Audi A4 vagcom cable" or something similar, they should come up. There was something Hiwords told me about as far as one that works very well and a different type that was giving some people trouble - he can clear that up for you better than I can - I don't want to tell you the wrong information
