Default Any tips on starting my A4 1.8T engine that..

has been standing around un-used since Feb 2nd without any coolant in it. Are there any precautions I should take before cranking it up? The car has been in the body shop getting the front end rebuilt.

Idk about these Audis all that well. but if you are worried about it I would disconnect the coil packs and crank it a few times to prime the oil system then hook it back up and start the ol girl up

yeah prime the oil. thats about the only precaution you can do. but after it starts you should check for the obvious things like coolant temp and fuel pressure

That body shop took his sweet time didn't he? But yea, what they said. Remove the coils and crank it a few times to get the juices flowing. Check your oil levels to be safe.
