I had just bought this 1998 audi a4 2.8 quattro and I am trying to get my windshield washer fluid working. The car still has the headlight pumps installed but the person who had this before removed the headlight washer caps and siliconed in some metal so they aren't hooked up.. Is there a wiring diagram for the washer fluid, or does anybody know where wire 1 and wire 2 from the windshield washer fluid pump hook up too?

Any help would be appreciated!

if you remove your bumper its pretty self explanitory, im pretty sure its an orange hose.

 

+1 on removing the bumper. There are 2 separate washer pumps. One for the headlights and another for the windscreen. The headlight washers have a tendency to leak and many owners have removed or disabled the system.

 

Thanks for the replies guys! The reason I was wondering which wire goes where is because the 2 wires that come out on top of the pump are yellow labeled 1 and 2. The guy spliced those wires into a red and orange wire. But the problem is, when I activate the windshield washer, nothing happens and no juice goes to either wire. But when I turn my headlights on and try it still no fluid but the test light flashes for a second. So I was pretty much wondering if maybe he spliced into the headlight washer system to run the main windshield washers.. Maybe I can take some pics and post them

 

From the diagram I have, the wires for the windshield washer pump should be black/violet and brown (ground). I've placed a red box around washer pump for you.
