Question <<Audi Noob>>When to replace tie rod ends? (PICS)

Recently I purchased the T-belt kit from Blauparts.com and it came with free Tie rod ends in the mystery package.

I would like to know when and how often should I replace tie rod ends?
Below are pictures of my current tie rod ends.
I think they may need to be replaced.

haha yea replace them. the first and last pictures look fairly bad. you can tell how worn they are by how easy and sloppy the ball join is

FYI, you will most likely need an alignment when you're done... don't forget about that
