So i blew my turbo on my 99 A4, i have a friend who had a 2005 A4 which he sold but happens to have an extra turbo from the car he never used, im told the 99 stock turbo is a K03 and the 2005 had a K03s stock and that i can swap out mine for the newer model, but for extra reasurrance < never hurts to be over confident> i called Autohaus and asked for there opinion, firstly they mentioned No Audi has a K03 turbo or K03s turbo stock in them, and went on to explain a M type turbo, can anyone please help me with this, after searching the forum and a past post i was under the understand K03 was stock and compatiblity?!?!

I've already told you it'll work. It will bolt right up, the only difference is internals.

Autohaus is going by part # which is different depending on the manufactuer date. They don't know it as a "k03" or "k03s".

 

ko3s is direct swap for a ko3....
