I don't think a couple extra dollars every fill up should be too big of a deal. I completely agree with bradtyler's post. I'd choose a b5 over a new jetta. Unless you plan on modding it a good amount, the jetta will still just look like an ordinary car on the road while the a4 will impress. I really do like the look of the new passats though (especially the wagons!) but I'd still rather have the audi if possible. Maybe you should test drive the jetta before judging. If it was me I'd go with an a3 though

I don't know if I'd agree on the reliable part. JD Power sure doesn't. http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings...tings-by-brand

With Audi, you get good looks, good interiors, great AWD.
With the VW Passat, you can at least get great AWD.
With the rest of VW's cars... none of the above.

Though, hey, I guess I'm not one to talk. My G8 did horrible in initial quality results.

if u really think about it the A4 is pretty much a passat. they are just about the same inside and out., the cc is gross... jetta i agree is a girls car. test drive the passat if its a 4motion. and test drive the audi u wont notice much differences

Seems like most of the people here would prefer the Audi... wonder why...
Bet if you asked on a VW forum, you might get some different answers... Just saying

Stick with what you know. If you get that Jetta, you're always going to compare it to an Audi.

It's like having a new woman. Do you want move on to another pretty one or do you want to downgrade and get one with some acne. Nice girl, don't get me wrong, but just not as appealing.

Rather spend a liiiitle more dough on the attractive one. Win-Win situation.
