oh and to add i cant get the hood up can anyone help me that. the cable broke and i cant get the hood up how do i

Is the cable broken, or is it a problem at the hood-pop handle? Have you looked under the dash to check?

You mentioned you had some idle surging then it died, that makes it sound like your idle control valve (ICV). A lot of the times you can take it out and clean it, but sometimes it can require replacement.

What have you tried to date?

There is no ICV on a DBW car which is what he owns. That issue happens on the ndbw cars.

Could be something as simple as a blown IC hose.
