Balance question

Default Balance question

Do i balance my rims with the hub rings on or off? I had them balanced with the.hub rings on and i still have vibration. Im just trying to figure out the problem.

personally id say without. just a guess but they should be pretty well balanced themselves plus they are so close to the axis of the wheel i cant see it doing much. vibration could be coming from something else

They usually balance them without.

Are you sure they're balanced properly? Check for cracks/bends on the wheels. Those things can cause vibrations.

Are you running any spacers?

You may want to try swapping the wheels front to back and see if the problem changes or goes away.

^ thats what i was going too do tomorrow. I have no bends or cracks, the wheel that was bent was repaired but.balanced wrong, i had it.rebalanced today and i saw.him balance it correctly, the odd thing.is.after he.balanced the 1 wheel the vibration got worse

How are your tie rods/ control arms. Bad tie rods or control arms will cause vibration or shaking - as well as a bad wheel bearing.

My control arms are good, i actually just changed the bushings not too long ago, but i didn't pay any attention to the tie rods, and my wheel bearings are good also. I still haven't rotated my wheels yet so im waiting on that before i put the car into the air.

If the tire rotation doesn't help I would definitely consider tie rods.
