When I back out of my driveway in the morning to go to work there is some sort of a bed spring noise on the front driver side. It lasts for half a second and only happens once a day in the morning.

Also, when going into the driveway a sort of clunk noise occurs when the wheel goes up the bump.

Any clues? I was thinking its struts, coils, and perhaps control arm. Going to get under the car and check it out this weekend. Anything else I should look at/for?

Haha anyway its kind of like the sound a bed spring or a couch spring makes when it breaks. But it only happens once a day and some times not at all. This noise appeared the beginning of this week.

 

Check the last (bottom) coil of each spring. The rears especially are known to break off on the perch.
