Default Bleeding brakes with ESP......

I just want to know, has anyone attempted to bleed the brakes on their cars which have esp? I haves searched and found all of the DIY's but none cover cars that have esp. They just all say use a vag-com to activate the esp pump. Has anyone attempted to do it without? what happens if I try? I changed my rear pads yesterday without reading that my rears have to be screwed in, instead of pushed in. I used a c-clamp but the tip has a pivot head that turns. So not sure if i jacked up my caliper, i didn't hear any snaps or anything. I did have to use extra force than usual, which I know now why. My pedal goes all teh way to the floor now, it stops the car, but it takes much longer now, so i know i NEED to bleed the system. Any help will be very much appreciated.

wow 3 day and 38 views and nothing. Not even a admin to comment saying that its not possible or a moderator. It looks like i will have to find out myself.....can someone atleast point me into the right direction as to where the esp pump is at?...if there is something I have learned, its that in every car system I faced, every electrical system has a mechanical way of being dealt with. After all, aren't most car electrical systems controlling something mechanical anyway???

Its all simple physics.....is the pump under the rear seat as im hearing here and there of some sort of abs control box being there? Any insight would be great, thanks.

You can bleed it without activating the pump, the only pumps you really need to activate is the bosch 5.3 system, which is pre 97.
Just bleed them in a cross pattern, right front, left rear, left front, right rear.

hey auditech, thanks for the info. I'll definitely try this...thats weird though....howcome doing it in this sequence bypasses the "must connect vag-com and activate esp pump" method??? would love an explanation....you can be as technical as you can...i'll get it after 4 or 5 read

by the way auditech, is the procedure the same? pump teh brake pedal with the car off until hard...keep pressure on then open the bleeder? or is there a different way?
