I need to remove the strut assembly - there is an issue I need to resolve. Do I need to replace the bolt and nut that holds the upper control arms to the spindle and also the bolt and nut that holds the strut to the lower control arm.

I did not know if they are stretch bolts - I do think that they are self locking nuts - but not the ones with nylon.

I just did my entire front end and I reused all of my nuts & bolts. If you want to be safe or have them look pretty, buy new ones, otherwise you should be alright with what you have.
