Default Boost leak results.... questions

Did a boost leak check on the a4 this weekend. Ive done them before on other cars but this is my first time on this one. I used a similar method to the tennis ball way, but used a piece of pvc instead. I took off the egr and plugged it as well.

My problem is that it sounds like the air is going directly out the turbo soon as i put air in, and thus cant build up pressure. Any ideas?

Car runs a little weird until it builds up full boost (18psi), and in third gear at 5.5k rpm the boost falls to 5 psi. Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Also, no codes and car does have 132k on it, stock turbo. When accelerating from a stop the car seems to pulse and jerk a little unless you have it floored. Chip is REVO too. Thanks again!

pressureize the system and use soap and water to determine where it is comming from. Are you pressurizing directly from the turbo intake on the turbo or through the intake plumming?

Also you should check for shaft play and broken fins or maybe cracked compressor side of the turbo
