I just bought a HID kit for my a4 6000k h7......do i need to install a relay???

 

It depends on the kit but most of them do not require it - the car's 12v headlight system is more than enough to trigger the ballasts to fire.

 

I don't know for sure, but I don't think the OEM Xenon headlights as installed by Audi use a relay, so you should be fine.

 

What's a ralay?

 

A relay is like a switch, except operated by electric current instead of your finger. It allows you to wire up electrical accessories without having the full current running through the switch on your dashboard. It's more efficient that way.
