Vehical - 1996 A4 (B5) Quattro 2.8 Automatic.

I just put in new ceramic brake pads and had rotors turned in the front.

Now since the change it is a constant squeak squeak squeak, when I am not on the brakes but mostly goes away when I do hit them. But the next stumper is also since the change it makes a clunking noise sort of like a bad strut mount but it is not.

I am at wits end with this i have no idea how to solve the problem.

Any imput would be much apreciated and and answers will be tried.

your inner brake pad is loose. take things apart and pry the 3 fingers on the back of the inner pad apart and put it back together. as for squeaking, try some anti squeal. ceramic brakes are supposed to be noisy.

thanks that was the issue and the squeek went away cause it moved off the pad when i pried the fingers
