Default Brakes are soft

Well I replaced my rear pads since they were quite thin and thought this would take care of my brake pedal feeling too soft. Front pads look good and I'm not leaking any fluid. I did have a hell of a time trying to turn the rear drivers caliper in to install the pads. The old pads though, wore evenly so I think that would rule out a bad caliper.
