Default Can anyone shed any light for me?????

I have an 1998 A4 Avant estate currently at 120, 000 miles.

For some time I have noticed a grinding sound from the front passenger side wheel when driving to the left and very infrequently when driving straight. It's not a continuous sound, more like a ' bu bump, bu bump' kinda sound which can also be felt through the passenger footwell and slightly throught the steering wheel but my mechanic doesn't seem to be able to locate the problem?!?!?!

So far I have had the passenger side anti roll bar drop link, both side lower (torque reaction) suspension arms and part of the steering column replaced but none of these have fixed the problem???

Any advice would be most apreciated :0)

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing to me. Pics of the car?

I know the rear bearings are starting to go as my mechanic noted it has 'play' on the MOT as an advisory but nothing was mentioned on the front?? Can't remember exactly what he replaced on the steering but think it was the steering rack joint????
