Default Center Console Leather Lid

The lid of my center console is sort of mangled, I was wondering where I could find another. I have checked classifieds, etc.. and it seems like a hard part to find at a junkyard. Its like an off-whiteish leather piece.

Do you think it would be possible to bring it somewhere and have them re upholster it somehow or ?? And who would do that? An auto detailing place?

in the classifieds, look for cars being parted out instead of just that lid. much easier to find that way. there's actually quite a few of them in there right now

any upholstery place could do it, but they might not have your color leather

look in your manual or on the sticker in your spare wheel well. it should have the month and year of manufacture. if its june or before, its 2001. if its july or later, its 2001.5

It can be recovered very easily by a shop. I just recovered the one in my friend's 96 A4 with black suede. I've done upholstering work before, but it's a very basic part and you could likely do it fine your first try. Paid $11 for a yard of black suede for a different project, and used a remnant to redo his armrest. Came out very nice and only took 20 minutes. Give it a shot - you may be surprised how easy it is.
