Default Cloudy headlights

My driver side casing is cloudy, but I can't tell if it's the outer casing or the inner small projector lens. It's really noticeable now that I've got HID's in there. The passenger side, which has a newer casing(thanks to hitting a dear) is much brighter than the drivers side.

What's the most popular method of polishing the casing to try to remove the cloudy look? Do those polishing ***** that you attach to a cordless drill work?

Mequires has akit for like 20 bucks, comes with drill attachment and a bottle of the lens cleaner/plastiX. works great and comes with enough to to multiple cars

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Hopefully it's not the inner projector lens that's the problem. The outer casing doesn't seem all that cloudy, though.

I'm an expert at this lol. Get yourself some 2000 grit wet-sanding paper and some of this stuff. You need to wet-sand the headlight until you remove all the outer coating that's on there until you reach the pure plastic surface. Dry the plastic and apply this polish with the special cloth that it comes with in a swirl motion until the sanding scratches magically disappear. Polish off the polish the same way with a clean dry cloth and your headlight will look like they are almost new. Your arms will get tired, but the results will be worth it.

Thanks A4_2000! I think I'll try your method first.

No problem. Oh, and when wet sanding, you should move the sandpaper in one direction (side to side is best) so the tiny scratch marks are easier to polish off.
