Default Clutch cylinder replacement

I took my car to my local (recommended) transmission shop cause my shifting was not that smooth. They noted that my clutch slave cylinder is broken and needs replacement. He suggested that I also replace the clutch master cylinder for a few reasons - they usually wear out around the same time, and if I get a new slave but leave the old master, that may cause problems. My question is - should I replace the C.M.C. as well?

Dont think you need to replace it when replacing a slave. Sounds like he is hitting you up for more work.

Yeah he is upselling you for sure, if the slave is really old just have them replace that and be done with it. The only time you would have to replace a master cylinder is if its leaking or a primary or secondary seal is blown.
