Default Control arms worn - what options

The front end makes a clonking noise, and I can move the wheels quite a bit.
What is the best way to go? Car has 140,000 mls on it.
- get bushing set (PU, 10pieces, FCP Groton, $285)

- get control arm kit aftermarket (12 pc, FCP Groton, $305)

- get S4 upgrade control arm kit aftermarket (ditto above, but S4 upgrade)

- get 4 piece control arm kit upgrade S4 (FCP Groton, $75)

Other sources and suggestion?

How does the Groton stuff compare with OEM and other sources?
Please post your experience and links.

Is it possible to just replace the bushing, or have the arms to be replaced as well?

Can someone post 'how to' links to do the work?

Get the 12-piece kit, either A4 or S4. If the bushings are shot the ball joints are probably on the way out too. Replace everything and be done with it. Check AudiWorld.com for a DIY. That's the most likely place to find it.
