Coolant Temp
Ok guys, I have searched and searched this and I can't find the same problem that I am having. This maybe because its not a problem at all. I just did the TB job and got the ECS kit that had EVERYTHING. Changed the water pump and all. Only thing we didn't change was the Thermostat. Planning on changing that here when I get back home from College. Anyways since I have replace everything my coolant gauge use to read halfway mark all the time except for interstate driving with the heat on. Now it never gets to the halfway mark unless idling for a while. Just a note: when we did the TB job I noticed that the old coolant was brownish green and obviously not the pink coolant ECS sends...could thing have something to do with it. Also since the TB change when idling and I turn the steering wheel the car almost dies when at idle. I know it will fluctuate from the stress on the engine but never use to do it as much as it does now...any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
its been said and done, its probably your ECT sensor (back of your engine) which is probably bad, it cause poor fuel economy and causes the temp gauge to move little or none at all. but then again it could be you t-stat. either one isnt hard to expensive to replace.
