i was enjoying my new K04 today...nothing crazy but driving it a little harder then normal...and when i got home i let it sit for a little with the engine on for about 2-3 minutes and the coolant temp went from the middle to the next line toward hot...dont think its a problem just a little curious to why it would get hotter while i let "Cooldown"

Because you no longer have air going through the radiator to cool down the coolant. But that's wierd, my coolant temp never goes over the middle mark.

That is called heatsoak. All that heat has moved from the pistons, head and turbo system to the cooling system. It takes time to move through the system to the air. If the air isn't moving everything cooks. After a hard run it is important to keep the car moving for the cooldown. I have seen one of my cars exhaust manifold and turbine housing glowing red hot. That heat is what destroys turbos and engines without a cooldown. Enjoy running your car hard (it is built for it) but be nice to it after have had your pleasure and it will be nice to you. Reminds me of something else.
