Cooling Fans Stuck On
Ok so i have a problem. after a very hard half hour of driving my 99 audi a4 1.8t quattro i parked the car. about 2 hours later i went to get in it when i turned the key forward(but not started it) the cooling fans were stuck on a very high speed with a rediculously loud noise like a house fan being on high. i figured maybe it was just still hot from driving. so it has been parked for about 2 months due to other miscellaneous problems. but i just got it back the other day and it still as soon as they key is turned forward either started or just in auxilary position the fans kick on to the same rediculosuly high speed someone help please!
just throwing this out there... i have zero idea if audi's have mercury switches for these types of things but if they do, id suspect something with that. i realize this is zero help to you but im trying here
Have you figured out the problem to the fans being stuck on? I was having the same exact problem. Then the fans started to work correctly. Then they stopped working all together and now the a/c doesn't blow cool air any longer. I pulled the fan control module out from under the battery and it was burnt up. I have checked the fuses on top of the battery as well, but they are fine. i replaced the fan relay under the dash too. I am waiting for the new module to come in. I purchased a new radiator, water pump, fan switch, thermostat and radiator hoses. I am just waiting until i get the module to put them all on. Please let me know if and what you found to be the problem.
which one? I deleted my whole ac that was in perfect working condition
Compressor to Condensor: 8D0260701H i belive this is the line that broke but was told i should probably replace most of the whole assembly compressor condensor all of it because it has been broke for so long and dirt and stuff has probably gotten into it. what would your price be on the whole system? just the line?
