Couple of questions
This is a problem that has developed very slowly, and is very annoying. It began as a slight brake squeal as I backed up only and lasted about 3 seconds. It is/was a rotational thing, and would start and stop as the wheels spun (squeal, nothing, nothing, squeal type of thing). It slowly worked its way into forward motion, but went away quickly, but again, disappeared quickly. Now, it is an almost constant squeal, again increases with rotation, but goes away under braking. I know it is a brake squeal, but I can't single out which wheel it is from. And only the right rear rotor has any signs of grooving going on, but it is very minimal. Do I need to address this right away, or can it wait a few weeks? Also, if I do upgrade (not to anything crazy, just a little better performance for the street and less fade) what should I go for? I've looked a little at Zimmerman rotors, Mintex pads, Schwaben rotors, Hawk pads, and not much else. Anyone got a kit/parts they love? Looking to spend around $500-600.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
A8 big brake kit....i personally dont have one yet, but when I get some extra cash ima upgrade...
yea either worn pads or warped rotors...
you can get em resurfaced and just get hawk pads or like i did autozone pads, they work great so far..

An easy way to figure out which wheels (front or back) are making the squeal, try applying the hand brake lightly when coasting slowly, if you hear the squeal then its coming from the rear brakes, if not, its the fronts. Good luck.
