Default Crank position sensor problems

So for the past several months I've been having random starting issues with my car. Either it wouldn't start or it would start and idle really rough and the EPC light would be on. Then it started to just randomly die on me as I'd be driving. Looked through the forums found one that said it was the crank position sensor. So I ordered one up and changed it out this morning and now my car won't start at all.
Any ideas? Or is there a code I have to clear? Any light on the subject would be great! Really need to get this thing running ASAP!

You really need to scan for codes first to determine why the EPC light was on. The most common occasional hard start condition is from a bad coolant temperature sensor but you really should scan for codes first instead of throw parts at it.

I understand that. But that didn't answer my question. What would cause the car to not start with a brand new crank sensor in it? And no codes come up when the lights not on so I haven't been able to get a code. I guess I better buy my own code reader. Never needed one prior to owning this car.

Get it scanned. My car, exact same issue. Ended up being crank AND cam position sensors.
