Default crazy amount of brake dust.

my 1.8t leaves a bunch of brake dust over the weekend i took off all the wheels and cleaned them really good but already they are starting to collect more brake dust i figure its the pads and i wish they needed to be changed but they are pretty new so does anyone how i can reduce the amount of dust coming from the brakes?

I have same setup. Much less dust. It is probably the compound of your current pads. Just burning off really fast. No way to really correct that. Unless you got brake dust shields. But those things are so F'n ugly. So don't do that.

yeah i agree ^ brake dust shields FTL. If you get semi-metallic (or some such compound) pads that should reduce the dust, but i'm told that while it makes less dust, the dust it does make is harder to get off? Might be BS though lol.

I have all ceramic pads, and my rims are really easy to get clean. And they don't seem to get that dirty either. But once again, could just be from the rotor upgrade.

Umm, not much more noticeable noise. However, with the slotted rotors I can feel a very slight vibration when I'm on the brakes hard. Another thing though.... I may just not notice the noise, because before I put these on my caliper carrier was grinding into my rotor. So if there's any noise from the pads now, it sure beats that!
