Degreasing the engine bay...???

Default Degreasing the engine bay...???

I know some of you guys keep your cars wicked clean which i know means you clean the engine up to. i need to clean my engine and want to know which components you guys are protecting with foil or plastic to keep them safe and dry.

in advance, thanks for your advice....

I don't wrap or cover anything. I use simple green degreaser, rags, toothbrushes, and in some cases Q-tips to get the grease and grime off. You probably don't want to spray your engine bay with the hose, if that's what you're thinking. Take the time to use a spray bottle of degreaser and a lot of elbow grease. When you're done, you can spray the entire engine with 100% silicone spray or use CD2 Engine Bright to make everything gleam.

DO NOT SPRAY THE HOSE ON YOUR ENGINE BAY!
to much electrical stuff, in fact the was a post a day os two ago of a guy who f-ed up his TB by doing somthing like that, Simple green is the **** though

OK -- no hose action then. Yeah Simple Green is hardcore. When I was in the army I routinely used that **** to clean my machinegun and it worked better than even carb cleaner! I'm always amazed how strong the fumes are for a "natural" product.
