Degreasing the engine bay...???

I don't wrap or cover anything. I use simple green degreaser, rags, toothbrushes, and in some cases Q-tips to get the grease and grime off. You probably don't want to spray your engine bay with the hose, if that's what you're thinking. Take the time to use a spray bottle of degreaser and a lot of elbow grease. When you're done, you can spray the entire engine with 100% silicone spray or use CD2 Engine Bright to make everything gleam.
+1
DO NOT SPRAY THE HOSE ON YOUR ENGINE BAY!
to much electrical stuff, in fact the was a post a day os two ago of a guy who f-ed up his TB by doing somthing like that, Simple green is the **** though

OK -- no hose action then. Yeah Simple Green is hardcore. When I was in the army I routinely used that **** to clean my machinegun and it worked better than even carb cleaner! I'm always amazed how strong the fumes are for a "natural" product.
