Default Disconnecting the Low Oil Warning

The sending unit seems to be defective even though it is relatively new. I don't want to mess around with replacing it at this time, but want to disable the annoying warning tone that happens every time I start the car. Where is the sending unit? I assume that if I just pull the wire and safely secure it, I will temporarily disable the warning system, correct? Thanks.

Low oil pressure light or low level light? I know the 01 had 2 seperate sensors. Have you also verified it isnt an actual issue?

This would be for the low oil level, not pressure. Sorry to not make that clear. Thanks.

Default Low Oil Sensor

I disconnected my battery, counted 15 seconds and hooked it back up. The low oil warning went away along with the irritating noise.
