I totally agree that hacking is advancing at a higher rate, and thats because it has to. The hackers have always been a step ahead and will be, if you look an anonymous' work, they hack into some pretty serious organizations, often. It will be interesting as we move forward in tech to see how everything plays out.

That being said is there any way to download a torrent of an ecu upgrade and flash your chip. You can buy the software for your laptop so would there be a sight that anyone knows about to find this software. And don't be haters just because you spent 599+ for your flash and whine about legality. I'm not sure but I think turning off the gov chip may not be the most legal thing in all jurisdictions.

Go to Nefmoto.com, they got free software, also links to TunerPro for hexdumps. Also to to EVC.com and download WinOLS, they have a demo version that can do all the mapping you need, 2D, 3D, or code, also an upgraded version you can buy and download files that other people have created and get tech support from pros. But if you're really serious look into gettin a Eurodyne Maestro. I'm not to familiar with the software, but it's easier to use then the others and is top of the line.

Default tuner in Northern VA

Does anyone know a good ECU tuner in or near Northern VA. I have the APR software (loved it) but replaced my leaking turbos with K06s, only to find that APR doesn't support upgrades on my 02 A6 2.7 anymore. New German recommended another software and fuel injectors, but I'd rather not spend another $2400.

Thanks
