if you snapped a belt at speed, you may have done more damage than just bent valves. we have seen many engines that have had valves hit pistons hard enough to mushroom the piston crown and cause the rings to get pinched in the ring groove. this inhibits the ring from floating and it will score the cylinder walls
If timing belt is broken, pistons must be carefully inspected..
