the devil is correct, but also, if your tstat is acting up, your temp gauge should be fluctuating as well, as in, when you're driving, it should move toward the left-go down in temp, fluctuate, in my cases anyway it always did that.....then when ideling, the temp gauge should move back to the center, warm back up again and you have heat....
