Default Foglights on without headlights.

I tried to make my foglights come on without the headlights on. When I did this according to this forum: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext11.shtml ... I took both the 15 and 17 wires and connected them to the 14 wire. But when i did this it did not work. What happened when I did this is the headlights came on without needing to turn the headlights on. It says to disconnect the 12 wire which allows the foglights to be on, but I just cant get it to work.

I found it thanks. And I want to have independent fogs cause I have leds in my headlights so it would look nasty cause they are daytime running lights with the fogs on.

Didn't work for my 99 or Hiwords' 01.5. And Mr Phil, maybe not where you are, but up here with large rivers cutting through our city, having independent fogs can be very helpful. We get nasty fog that is thick enough to throw your headlight beams back in your face, but the fogs alone will cut underneath so you aren't flying blind.

^^ Agreed...it works better that way

trucks are allowed to have indy fogs, so why not cars? makes no sense....

Yeah except I like everything integrated and looking like it came that way from Audi. I'll probably just redo the wiring my own way rather than as the DIY instructed, so it'll work in my early 99.
