Unhappy Front End Pop felt in steering wheel when Turning under load, replaced tie rod

Hey everybody,

I have a front end pop that have just come up. This happens most often and dramatically when making a very sharp turn at lower speeds (e.g. turning into a parking lot). The pop can be felt in the steering wheel and sounds like it is coming closer to the driver side than the passenger side. I just replaced the entire Tie Rod on the driver side and the problem persists. Any thoughts?? Thanks much.

Ive been having the same problem and am thinking its my lower control arms. Tie rods are tight on my car but Im getting a bump or pop in the wheel when I turn far to the right. Seems to happen more at lower speeds like pulling into a parking spot.

jack the car up on that side and try to move to wheel up and down and side to side. it could pretty much any ball joint, including those in the control arms, wheel bearing or cv shaft. youll have to check to play in all of those

I was thinking the first symptom for ball joints is usually a squeak but I guess Im wrong on that. Now Im wondering if I should go ahead and just replace all of the CAs again. They were last replaced 80,000 miles ago.

Agreed with Dozanti (although it could be anything in the wheel well) simply because my LF outer CV is worn out, and makes the same noise.
