Exclamation front fog light

i just bought a 2001 audi a4 1.8t i noticed the front fog lights not work so i found that the fuse was blown so i replaced and noticed the smoke coming from the passeneger side fog light. so i disconnected the fuse then looked at the fog like and noticed an hid kit followed the wiring and it was all melted does any one have a wiring diagram for the fog lights and an easy fix for me.

you have to turn the headlights on in order to turn the fog lights on. the headlight switch triggers a relay on the fog light button and then you can finally turn on the fogs. the actual colored wires remain to be know because i've tried to do an independent fog light mod using the wires and none of the wires seem to work. maybe the relay more tricky than i thought it was. also the wiring diagram in the haynes manual is wrong
