Default Giac X Ecu question.

I bought a Giac X flashed ECU with 91 and stock program off a 2001.5 audi a4 1.8tqm. Its a ch-box ecu. My car is a 2001 audi a4 1.8tqm with a m-box ecu. Now i know they are interchangeable, i was just wondering is it just plug and play or is it more than that? Do i need a vag? I also got a 710N, one last thing i need is plugs, so whats the cheapest ones i can get that will work for a flashed giac x?

you just remove the stock ecu and toss in the tuned one...you don't have to do anything special...unless your transmission is manual and it came out of an auto (or vice versa...then you would need a vag)

as for plugs... NGK BKR7E gapped to .28...should cost less than $2 dollars a piece....

gl!

cool, how long does the car take to adapt, i heard it varies. Also if the previous owner had a cel and maybe he forgot to erase it could it show up on my car? I havent plugged the new ecu in yet but i was just wondering
