How do you mean? You won't hear it as often as you would with a manual because you won't be letting off the gas between shifts.

170hp is for 01 1.8T

190hp must be for the B6 1.8T, but I thought they were 180hp.

Either way youll be in the 200 hp range 240ish tq. after a chip on the 150hp engine. Same for the 170hp engine.
Give them a call to be sure.
kind of late saying this but most of if not all B6's are 170hp, the 190hp is the 2.0T which i don't believe started til the B7.

^^^ no. Even USP's (ultra sports, aka s-line's) have the same hp as sports and base models. The only difference is 04-05 they had 6MT rather than 5 and a bodykit.

What I meant bout the SPLT-R is that does it have any more drawbacks than using it on the MT? Regarding the air being let off in the atmosphere. I sold my R1 to a fellow B5'r for as much as I got it, so he saved $60 and I had a free R1 for a couple months. And now I was thinking of getting the Forge since the maintainance is easy (lubing it was the only reason I didn't buy it from the get go). Now I'm debating wether getting the splt-r or the 007. I'm switching to a MT soon so everything I have in my car will be transfered and so will the DV but I need it meanwhile since im running on a blown 710 that doesn't allow me more than 10psi

Switching to a MT soon? You are doing a swap? I ran my spitter in vent mode for a while with no issues (00/tip). The spitter was designed with vag engines in mind, so there shouldn't be any issues whatsoever.

I shouldn't be so vague. I'm selling the B5 and getting an MT B5 (A4 or S4 if low miles), B6 A4. I was planning on so this summer but got caught up with court fees and bought the girly some gifts so $$$ ran short. And now I'm piling up parts so I can use on the next car (FMIC, DP, DV, etc) tranny swaps are a joke financially-wise. Anyways, about the spltr, if I use it on full DV mode, will it act as a 007? Or are there differences? I wouldn't mind switching between DV and 50/50 mode once in a while. But a BT is definetely in the works so I'd need the good DV.

i take my foot off the gas each time i shift when its in TIP, just for the sound :P

and who ever asked about the splitters on a Tip. they work great, greasing is recommended before installing it. mine was bone dry, and i wouldnt get any Atmos sound until i greased it
