BTW I was just saying that if it came down to having my 1.8t setup vs a NA V8, I would keep what I have now since the NA V8 is going to have a limit of how much power its going to make without having to strap a 250hp nitrous kit on the car.
There is no replacement for displacement. Question, will a supercharged 2L inline 4 have as much as a supercharged 3L inline 6 or supercharges 5L V8? No.

So i say again. No replacement for displacement. Anything you do to a smaller engine you can do to a bigger engine. the difference? the displacement.

350 in an Audi isn't well,... Audi. Demonstrate that you are an Audi enthusiast buy keeping your 1.8t. It's a great engine. Like these guys said, you can get all the hp you can handle out of your 1.8, while not sounding like a tank coming down the road, not to mention the absence of horrible weight distribution with the heavy 350. (I mean unless he wants to use you an aluminum block, there cheap you know, lol)

I wasn't thinking about putting a 350 in my car. I thought it was funny that my dad's friend came up with the idea. I love my Audi. Also, I sometimes wish I had a 1.8t, but sadly enough, I have the hardest to mod engine in the Audi lineup with my fantastic 2.8L 30v.

feel better - you have the second worst engine, the 12v is #1

Taking a smaller engine and creating an identical scaled up version will basically always produce more power. It will also always produce more weight.

So it is fair to say that with all things equal, more displacement means more power and more weight. Not necessarily better performance.

The entire argument is hypothetical. There are a variety of other complicating factors.

No, if all of them are running the same size SC and are all pushing the same amount of air flow maxing the SC out they will all be making the same power. Just like if you put a K04 on a 1.8 liter or 2.0 liter, the max power is going to be the same. This is because the limiting factor is air flow and if the amount of air being pushed into the motor the displacement is not going to mean squat.

My 2.0 Liter GT35r makes nearly the same power as the 2.7 liter S4's running twin GT28RS/71's maxed out at over 30psi. I am doing it with .7 liters less displacement and 1 single turbo. Funny thing is the S4's actually have more lag with their 28rs/71r twin turbo setup.

Well not really. I see where you are coming from but that isnt so. the SC will not flow the same amount of air into a smaller displacement engine becuase it isnt linear in real life. Anything you do to a smaller engine will make less power then in a larger engine.

People pull lots of power out of small engines by high RPM's. HP = (TQ*RPM)/5252.
