Default Headers

I am looking to redo my exhaust and loo, king for good headers....Anyone know where I can get any at a reasonable price? Also, I just had my trans rebuilt adn they did not adjust the shift linkage so about every 10 starts I have to start in neutral. My question is is it hard to adjust it. I have a warantee for 1 year on the trans so I can take it back to the shop to have them adjus it but it is quite a ways from my house so I really don't want to do that.

1 - what engine do you have? either listing this in your sig, or every post will make it easier for us to help you.

im guessing the 2.8L V6. if im right, then there is no need for you to upgrade them at this point. it will not give you any worth while gain. and what i mean by worthwile is, you have to pull theengine to remove and re install the headers.. not an easy task. or cheap..

2 - do you know exactly where the problem with you linkage is? are you talking the shift linkage from the shifter itself? or the linkage and shift forks underneath the car?

Yeah I kinda figured that there was no need to replace the headers I really didn't want to, which is a good thing.

No it has to be the shift linkage in the shifter......Like I said occasionally I will have to start in neutral.....

Any recommendations for an exhaust.....u hit it right on the head I do have the v6. I am looking for a good sounding exhaust that great relatively good horsepower.....

it is easy to adjust the shift linkage, yes.. look for a short shifter DIY and that will tell you all you need to know. look into www.audidiy.com..

but with the 2.8 in it's N/A forum, there isn't much you can do short of forced induction that will net you any noticeable power gains.. the stock exhaust piping on the 2.8 is sufficient enough for the air being pushed by the motor. it's the cats and mufflers that are holding back the noise.. most just replace the rear muffler with a magnaflow and call it good. search www.youtube.com for sound clips of this setup.. that and an open air intake make the 2.8 sound pretty decent
