I have talked to the owner already, and he says " well those things needed to be done anyway so we were just helping you" and that he would take the fuel filter and stuff back but he can't re sell them because i used them. And i said, yeah but i didnt has you to put them in, i could have bought them for way cheaper myself. and he claims that they are doing me a favor by helping me and fixing my car.

ok...that's it...its time to get a lil ruff...this is what you do..mmk? you walk in there and say"either you take everything out of my car that you installed,without my consent and put everything that you took out,that worked perfectly fine in the first place or I'll call my lawyer and sew you,the dealership and the mechanics that worked on my car."

I guarantee that son of a bitch will stand erect and go.."sure miss,we'll have that **** for you in no time" not only will he do it but he'll do it with a smile--->

Then,when everything is over and done with,you tell him to bend over and give him the lube,so he can get ready to get fucked...pay back is a bitch and she's standing right in front you!

that wont work if she signed any document and they have it on file it's no use it wont go anywhere in court and you lose money and time and they will probably bring out all the paper work and say that she approved everything. The best thing to do hear is see if you can get any money back at all and to get out of that shop. And find a new one and tell them your problem, and tell them what has been fixed and tell them to diagnose your problem and not to work on your car UNLESS you give them full permission and also the best thing is if you there supervising the work they wont **** with you that's what I do and I never like to leave my car overnight anywhere only if it's a big job's that i know it is going to take more then a day or so.

If you need help finding a good shop just post what sate and city you live in and maybe you will have one our member's living near you and they can tell you of a good shop to go by, Also you can find shop's in your area by yellow page's and some customer's would post up some review's of the place . So you wont go in there blind.

This is the story;
I went to them for a transmission, they put a new transmission in, i paid them for that. about two weeks later i called because they needed to re adujst the linkage on the transmission, and my car was stuttering, they said they would check it out. I never signed any paperwok,I dropped the car off, leaving a note in the car explaining when the stuttering happens and what the codes read and to call me if they find out what is wrong. It gets to be 445, they don't call, i call them he explains he is 99.9% sure it was my ICM he says, ' we replaced it for you, you can try it out and if it stutters bring it back and we will take it out if not you owe us 300.00". sure enough the minute i pick it up it stutters, so i bring it back, they take it out,Again they weren't open so i told them, to take the ICM out because it was still stuttering,and to adujst the transmission, it gets to be 445 again (they close at 5) I call them again, the guy mentions that they noticed my fuel filter and air filter were bad so he changed those, and my MAF was filthy so he cleaned it and now i owe them 250.00, and that the transmission guy 'forgot' to adujst the tranmission (the whole reason i brought it in that day) I tell them they did not have my permission to put those parts in and I wanted them to take them out. He said, I want you to try them out, and if it still stutters we will go from there, i pick it up on the way home, it stutters, i call the next day and expalin it is still stuttering, i drop it off, and tell them to take the parts out adujst the transmission. he calls me and says ' sorry we cant re sell the air filter and fuel filter so we have to charge you, and i say " you did not have my persmission you did not call and ask me to put those parts in thats not what i dropped the car off for' he said, we'll you needed them any way we are just trying to help you out" I pick up the car (did notpay) he expains to bring it in one more time , it starts stuttering to the point where I can not drive it, bring it in, he says its the coil pack, (which i told him i thought it was the FIRST day i brought it in) replaces the coil pack, calls me back, and says its still stuttering I dont know what it could be. He still wants me to pay them the 250.00 for the fuel filter and air filter, which I NEVER asked him to. He claims he spent 4 hours putting those parts in and disgnosing (which he said was free) my car so they are being really nice to me.
I mention to them that there is a HUGE hole in my hose under my manifold, they said 'we must have missed that, but that has no effect on stuttering or CEL, so it doesn't need to be fixed". Sorry that is so long but thats the whole story, i never signed anything and they never once showed me my old parts or bills, in less htey have bills printed just not shown them to me. I never signed anything saying i give them authorization to put parts in my car, i wrote a note the first day (cause they were closed when i dropped it off) saying please call when you diagnose the stuttering to discus options on parts,they siad they have to 'test' parts out in my car becuase its not a new audi so they can not pin point the stuttering...so now i'm stuck with a bill of 250.00 for something i could have paid 35 (for fueul filter) and 10 for air filter and put in myself!

I was correct,when i suggested that you get a lawyer or at least threaten to get a lawyer and see how they react. I knew somehow,that you didn't sign any paper work,i didn't think you were dumb enough to do that. So your still on the right side of the law,being you were in no binding contract,so you can actually sew them for all kinds of ****.

They were playing the "process of elimination"game with you,charging you by replacing parts that may or may not be the issue,all the while,flipp'n you the bill,until your car works.

That's not how a honest shop does work,they are suppose to run diagnostic tests on your car by running scan tools and such,to try and pin point the problem,not to mention,deal with the transmission they installed in the first place.

I'm sure they knew what to do,they just wanted to take you to the cleaners,i stand by what i said in my previous response,threaten them with a law suit and a lawyer. They know damn well,they were in the wrong and will be found liable in small claims court.

P.S. I really think you shouldn't bring your car back to them for any more work,unless they are replacing your old parts and trying to adjust the transmission they installed and for the love of god,DO NOT LET THEM DO ANYTHING TO THE CAR UNLESS YOU ARE THERE,WATCHING THEM! if you can't be there,find someone that can,they are snakes in the grass,they may try to do damage to your car,maybe they already have,just so they can charge you to fix it. I wouldn't put it past them!

I wish a knowledgeable member could come help you out. I have a hunch that it's got to be the coil packs flaking out. Supposedly there is a recall for them, check on that if I or anyone else didn't mention that. They seemed to be ruled out, but it's strange that the symptoms disappeard for a short time after they were remoed for the spark plugs, and also when you swapped them around. It could be a short in the main harness to the coil packs but I don't remember anyone ever having to deal with that. AEB coil packs are very suicidal.
