Exclamation HeLp. Audi will not start sometimes. A4 1.8 T 00'

This is my problem. Sometimes when i go to start my car I press in the clutch and turn the key. Nothing happens no clicking, no cranking. So there is no signal getting to the starter. After about several tries it will eventually turn over. The starter is fine along with everything mechanical. Its got to be electrical. Cause there is no signal traveling to my starter. And when there is a signal it starts up like a charm. anyone know a quick diagnosis. Where to look? fuses? connections terminals? can this be clutch pedal related? I need to get this fixed but want to narrow it down. I also dont want my car not to start somewhere thus forcing me to get a tow.
Thanks alot
Rick

OP, after the one or two times you turn the key and nothing happens, when something eventually does happen, does it start right up?

i know that theres a recall on the ignition switch if you call them and give them your VIN they will be able to tell you if its a recall or not
