Default Help-can't remove climate control 2000 b5

I'm on a trek to change my Airbag Module. and I'm stuck trying to remove the climate control. I'm pulling on it but it ain't moving. I don't want to break it. Take a look at the picture and please respond. thanks

Note: I got the module out, and it was a K (the last letter of the part number being K) module. The one I ordered from a junk yard (had been in a rear end so it hasn't blown) came in as a G box, which was the original box back in the day. I had to grind off two guide tabs from the harness to make it fit. I had read somewhere about this. one controls side curtain air bags and I don't have them so that doesn't bother me. I just hope it will code up with my rig. Either way, I'm through with air bag modules.

There are two bolts above the ash tray, that can't be reached until the climate control is removed, but I think they hold the console in. I've disconnected the battery, the center console is out, trim around stick shift is out, and I don't think the face of the climate control comes off, I think the entire unit comes out. So, I'm still looking for the 'trick' to removing it as a complete unit. Thanks
